I've only seen cochleanthes plants in pictures, but never IRL.

I've grown very fond of the Maxillaria alliance, particularly the members of the zygo family (so naturally, Cochleanthes is on my wish list). I'm gonna try to get more of these "fan orchids" into my collection. I already purchased a Pescatorea lehmannii, and have managed to find a Bollea violacea. I'll add the Cochleantes when I can.

Yeah, those unusual hybrids are very uncommon. Just keep looking, and you'll probably bump into it when you least expect to.
