"It IS slow growing..."

I have grown this for several years and agree it is a slow grower, definitely slower and less vigorous than the other LBS's in my collection. It has bloomed, however, and is a nice cultivar of the cross.

Recommendation: Keep warm and fairly dry in the winter, more like the cym. canaliculatum species parent. The growths will tend to rot out if water is allowed to sit in the leaf bases when the weather is cold. I use an open mix of equal parts of 40% medium and 40% fine bark with an additional 20% #3 Sponge Rok and not one that will hold water for an extended period of time like 100% ground coir. I use this mix in Northern California for all my canaliculatums and their first generation hybrids.

Good Luck,

Cym Ladye
