Tindo, it goes to the shower once or twice a day to be heavily misted. Have only had it since April so the true test will come when humidity drops sharply during winter heating period coming on very soon. I purchased two at the time to see how they would do in my environment and have been quite impressed with their performance with lighting well below recommended levels.

Ken, you're just entering heating period? I've had the furnace running since end of September here and house is very dry. I depend on trays of gravel kept wet with a small fan blowing over them 24/7 and manage about 55-60%. Guess that's the price we pay for beautiful springs, manageable summers and great autumns, eh?

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)
