I am trying to revive 2 orchids using the sphag N bag technique. I have damp moss on one end of a gallon size zip lock and the orchid leaves on the other. They are both in individual zip locks. It's been about a week to week in a half since I started the treatment, however today I checked up on my precious orchids and 2 leaves have turned yellow and fallen off the crown..

I am trying to save my phal from root rot and have seen many people having sucess with the spag n bag method. When I put the leaves in the zip lock bag do I leave the bag a little open for air flow or should I zip it entirely.

I recently noticed that my phal is growing a new spike directly under a leaf and it has been growing horozontally. So I tried to prop it with some styrofoam in hopes of getting it to grow vertically, however I snapped the spike. It didn't break off entirely it's more like a slit towards the base of the spike.. My question is..... Is the spike doomed or will it still continue to grow?
